High efficiency concentrator is generally composed of concentration basin, transmission device, lifting device, feeding device, discharge device and signal security devices and other components. Its main working principle: the operator should add a certain amount of flocculant to the slurry which is to be concentrated to make ore particles in the slurry form a floc and speed up the settling velocity, thus increasing the concentration efficiency.
High efficiency concentrator is widely used to process slime, waste water, waste residue in metallurgy, mining, coal, chemicals, building materials and environmental protection departments. It is important for improving the backwaters utilization, base flow transport concentration and environmental protection.
Characteristics
(1) The flocculant enlarges the particle diameter of settleable solid particles, thereby accelerating the sedimentation velocity;
(2) It is equipped with an inclined plate which shortens the mineral particles sedimentation distance and increases the settlement size;
(3) It makes use of the flocculation, filtering and compression of deposit concentrated phase layer, improving the processing amount;
(4) It is equipped with complete self-control facilities.
Category
Concentrator can be divided into center transmission concentrator, peripheral transmission concentrator, efficient concentrator, sludge thickener, intermittent thickener, subparagraph rake thickener, center rake thickener, vertical-flow and continuous radial thickener.
Note
We should pay attention the following points in the running process of concentrator:
(1) The operator should close underflow gates, start the machine with empty load and then begin feeding.
(2) Debris is not allowed to fall into the machine; the underflows ore drawing gate must be open flexibly and fitted with the pare gate.
(3) Checking the running condition of the glue pump in transmission device. Timely handle the ore leakage and oil lubricating parts.
